A feather-light lotion containing microsponges to absorb oil on the skin's surface, helping to combat shine and maintain an all-day matte finish. Niacinamide, Zinc Gluconate, Yeast Extract, Caffeine and Biotin purify and inhibit overactive sebaceous gland activity while soothing irritation. Salicylic Acid clears congested follicles to minimize future breakout activity, while Enantia Chlorantha Bark Extract controls over-active oil glands, helping to reduce oily shine on skin's surface. I have used this for several years and it has been the only moisturiser to control my acne.
I was introduced to it at the height of a hormonal acne flare up and have never looked back.
It may seem a dinky bottle but mine lasts many months, and in the summer I mix it with the solar booster on holiday - no more breakouts from sun lotion either!!
It is very runny and sinks in immediately. My skin is now a little less oily so I alternate depending on how oily/dry my skin feels. As soon as I have a flare up though this works a treat!
Seriously recommend for acne sufferers. I tried everything over many years and this worked the best of them all( roaccutane, benzyl Peroxide etc)
If you have an oily T zone and are prone to breakouts of mild acne in that area this is the product for you. i have been searching for years for a product like this and only heard about it from an american beautician on a spa visit. This product is fab. Yes it could smell a little nicer but it does what it says and works really well under your make up. Since i have started using this product my spots have cleared and im not getting near as many Thank you dermalogica.
This product is fantastic. I first tried it by a little sample and just had to buy it. I really struggle with an oily t-zone, which gets very shiny and this lotion really combats that and lasts all day. It also helps to actually clear up any spots or blockages. Would highly recommend this to anyone. Another brilliant product from Dermalogica!!!!
The lotion itself is white and quite thin. There is a slight medicinal smell but it isn't too bad, this is due to the salicyl acid in it which helps with spots. However fear not as suprisingly it does not dry your skin out either but soothes, moisturises and fingers crossed with help prevent breakouts! It does not sting either which I half expected with the former ingredient. Some of the other ingredients are caffeine and biotin to purify and inhibit over active sweat glands, which hopefully will help with my shiny oily forehead- man i sound attractive!!!!! If your skin gets those nasty inflamed type spots then the other 2 ingredients balm mint and cornflower are also meant to cool and calm inflammation!
Once it is on your face it spreads on easily and is absorbed pretty much instantly which I was very happy about, I can't stand feeling like I have a layer of cream on my face!
So does it work? Well 4 hours later and my skin is still not shiny which is pretty good going however it will be interesting to see how it copes with any warm weather when my skin especially my flipping forehead gets shinier!
